CRISP–Assam Skill University MoU to Drive Industry-Focused Training Programs

Taking a significant step forward in the field of skill development, the Centre for Research and Industrial Staff Performance (CRISP), Bhopal, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Assam Skill University. CRISP is an autonomous institute under the Department of Technical Education and Skill Development, Government of Madhya Pradesh, and has been playing a leading role in skill development training for over 29 years.

Under this agreement, CRISP and Assam Skill University will jointly conduct industry-oriented training programs aligned with current market needs. Short-term training courses will be offered in key sectors such as Manufacturing, Electrical/Electronics, IT, Multimedia, IT Consultancy, and Software Development. In addition, customized training programs will be designed for industries and corporates to ensure practical and employment-focused skill development.

The MoU was signed by Shri Subhash Chandra Das, IAS (Retd.), Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Assam Skill University, and Mr. Amol Vaidya, Director, CRISP. The ceremony was attended by senior officials from Assam Skill University, including Shri Hanif Noorani (ACS), Registrar; Dr. Rajeev Sharma, Director, Industry Engagement & Outreach; Dr. Anil Borah, HoD, Mechanical Engineering; Dr. Mahesh Uniyal, HoD, Tourism; and Dr. Jagadish Nath, Deputy Registrar. Representing CRISP, Director Mr. Amol Vaidya and Mr. Rajesh Maheshwari were present during the MoU signing ceremony.

This collaboration is expected to give a strong boost to industry-aligned skill development and enhance employability among youth. Experts believe that such partnerships will make training programs more practical, updated, and aligned with industry requirements, thereby opening better career opportunities for learners.
