At the valedictory ceremony of Project Swavalamban – Phase I held at CRISP, Hon’ble Higher Education Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar emphasized that India has always had talent, but connecting it with modern technology is the need of the hour. He highlighted that skill-based training and startup culture are the true pathways for the future, as employment generation must go beyond traditional jobs. He appreciated CRISP’s efforts in making rural youth self-reliant.
During the ceremony, trainees were awarded certificates, and selected candidates received job offer letters. The Minister also flagged off selected youth departing for their joining in Pune. In the first phase, 95 trainees in Bhopal completed training and achieved 100% placement.
CRISP Director Shri Amol Vaidya shared that Project Swavalamban is not just a training initiative but a life-changing opportunity that prepares youth according to real industry needs and connects them with dignified employment. With the support of BPCL, the program achieved full placement — proving that the right skills and opportunities empower youth to excel in major industries.
BPCL Bina Refinery Chief General Manager (HR) Shri Shirish Chandekar expressed heartfelt gratitude to CRISP, stating that within just three months there has been remarkable improvement in trainees’ confidence, communication and presentation skills. He added that along with technical development, the trainees also experienced significant mental and personality growth. He further said that when these youth receive respect while working in large industries, it will be the greatest success of this initiative and a matter of pride for all.
Under the project, training is being conducted in trades including Electrician, Welding, Fitter, Mason, Shuttering Carpentry and Rigger, with a target of training around 420 youth across the state. Out of the first batch, 80 candidates will work at Jabil Circuit India Pvt. Ltd., Pune, a modern manufacturing facility providing a safe and organized working environment.
The initiative marks another strong step towards empowering youth with technical skills and building a self-reliant future.
